Kerry's Tree Skirt Wedge

I am slowly catching up on projects! This is the second wedge that I stitched up for Kerry at CQI for a Christmas rr we were in together. This is a first for me in using waste canvas on crazy quilting, but it brought a wonderful element from the Nutcracker Suite into it! I did the sugar plum, a nutcracker and christmas tree. Gladddd its done tho! LOL!! I kept all the seam treatments monotone and quiet as I wanted the focus to be on the cross stitched motifs. Hope you like it Kerry!

Simonas block

I have finished up some angel stitching work on this block of Simona's at CQI. I created a walkway lined with flowers, some grass, a field of lavendar, flowers on the pergola and a little water fountain. Cobi had already done a tremendous amount of gorgeous work on this, I had only to finish. I hope you will enjoy this block Simona!

Hideko's Wool Block

At CQI (Crazy Quilting International) I am in a wool block round robin. This block is Hideko's in Japan! Isn't it lovely!!! I enjoyed stitching on this block sooo much! Hideko asked for seam treatments and maybe a small motif, so, I broke the rules and did seamy motifs! LOL!! The thread is Caron Wildflowers thread which was just wonderful to work with and the colors of this varigation seemed to accent the block just perfectly!

Gifts From Lynn

Lynn Schoefflor is a wonderful friend and one of the brightest of her class in cq! She had asked to borrow several of my pieces for the San Jose Quilt & Textile Museum lecture last month. I was very honored for me and work to be exhibited with Sharon Bogon, Jo Newsham, Rengin Yazitas, Alison Aller, Pat Winter, Hideko Ishida, Maureen Greenson and other talented CQers!! This is a picture of the goodies that Lynn sent when she returned my quilt, purse and blocks. Soooo very sweet of her. I greatly cherish our friendship and admire Lynn for her generosity, knowledge and creativity. Thank you Lynn!

Marya's Wool Block

This is a block I worked on for Marya in my Crazy Quilting Internation online cq group. I hand dyed the vintage lace band and the crocheted heart. Ithen added a ribbon ruched pansy, a butterfly charm and a metal heart finding that I beaded. I did some seam variations with beads as well. Enjoy!

I have been negligent in getting this posted. It is a piece that was in a round robin at CQI (Crazy Quilting International). Some awesome work was done on this block! I especially loved Gerry's lady and geese! They are such a wonderful touch! I had to complete it when it got home by adding the tree and a few more touches! Thanks once again to all my cq buddies that helped create an awesome treasure for my wall!

So, I decided he needed a long lasting reminder of his beautiful furboy, Puck! I tried to incorporate the mountains they love and qualities that we find here in Colorado. Hopefully he will enjoy it!

Cherry quilt hangers

This is one of many sets of quilt hangers that my dear husband made. I love these with the carving detail on them! They are made of cherry.

These next ones are made of mahogany and are for larger quilts.

I will be soon selling pairs of these on an Etsy shop which i'll direct folks too once its up and going! These are WONDERFUL for hanging small pieces and avoids the need for a quilt sleeve! VBG! Enjoy!

Debbie's block

Finished up Debbies block! I was enamoured by a vintage postcard that had a car full of dolls and teddy at the wheel, so I adapted it to a front on view! I used an old earring for the steering wheel, sewed down mop buttons for the headlights and glued shisha mirrors on top of that. Hope you like it Deb!

Dimitys 2nd Block

I finally finished Dimity's (aka Diane) second block in the faces rr at CQI. I used re-purposed necklace for the head piece and a re-purposed earring for the necklace. I then embroidered the hair, secured Dimity's cloisonne' face with a peyote cabachon treatmentand beaded things up! I hope that she enjoys the block!

Landscape Wall Hanging

I finished this up so it could fly to its new home. I'd have loved to embellish more and more and more.... but, gotta stop somewhere! Hopefully the new owner will enjoy it!

Christmas Fairies - sort of

Just a bit of whimsy I thought I would share! I have fallen in love with these little fairies that are made by Mark Roberts. They aren't all specifically Christmas but I just had to add them in with their other friends! One is a sugar plum fairy chef, another a gardner and a pumpkin.... they are all sooo fun! Enjoy!

Todd & Melissa

Debbie Quirion's son and daughter in law recently lost their home to fire. I decided to create a wall hanging for them based on their wedding picture. I added a cq frame, printed the picture on cotton, beaded the bodice and veil or the bride and embellished the frame! Now to get it off in the mail!
