I hope that everyone enjoys the work i've done for them as much as i've enjoyed doing it! I did three butterflies, the snail, the feather stitched seam, the viney seam with leaves & flowers, the lace flower motifs (single & 3) at the top and the fairy! PHEW!!! LOL!! Now to catch up on some other blocks!!

Wedding Picture Pillow

This is the pic of my mom and dad posing in their wedding attire. I got the pic into my system, printed it on fabric, then made a pillow out of it. Of COURSE, I don't have a pic of that yet, but will the next time I get back to Denver. Envision roses, SRE, trailing ribbon and beads.

Mom's sweater

This was a year for many hand made or hand embellished gifties. This is a sweater for my Mom that I did some SRE on. She was enamoured with it so I guess it was a good gift! LOL!! I also created a little face brooch for her! She was so funny! She said she had been afraid that i'd forget her! Silly girl! LOL!!

What Color Is Your Soul Painted?

Brown Your soul is painted the color brown, which embodies the characteristics of calmness, depth, nature, stability, tradition, poverty, roughness, down-to-earth, uncertainty, and neutrality. Brown is the color of the element Earth, and represents soil and, to a lesser degree, fertility of the Earth.

Judy, from CQI (an online group) and I decided to have a personal swap of friendship dolls....soooo.... I created this one. I made one of my marbled fimo faces along with some other "treasures" beaded up what became the Spirit of Christmas! She encompasses the joy of the season and the child like golden spirit in everyones heart at Christmas. I did nothing but beaded embroidery and beaded edgings for this. On the front I captured a teddy for the little girl in her heart.... and on the back....

Soooo.... after making a bunch of faces... she selected these and gave me the color specifications for each person! It was important that they all be "furry" so thats what she got! LOL!! The bottom white one truly has a face, but after a loooooooooooonnnnnggg day of trying to get her features to pop... I had to take the beading off, re-apply it to a newly made face and i'm NOT touching it ! LOL!! Good grief! If I only had painting skills! VBG!! Enjoy!

Madame DragonHeart

This is my final Spirit of Friendship doll! I'm hard pressed to let her go....but her wings have been fluttering in anticipation so I had best let her fly!

mistress butterfly front

This is to introduce mistress butterfly for the spirit of friendship doll swap! I've been a beadin' fool this week! LOL!! Beads are everywhere and on practically every seam! I made all the faces for these gems along with the flower you see on the front here.

Flower Spirit

This is Flower Spirit! She will be flying off with her two sisters to partake of the Spirit of Friendship swap! I hope this is ok....i've not beaded a face like this before....hopefully her new mom will enjoy her. For any of these dolls, you can click on the pic and it ought to take you to my flickr account where you can see their backs as well!

Comfort doll 2 back

Heres her back. This is the only doll I didn't cq for the back also. So I beaded my "moniker" on her bottom...which also means peaceful heart...and hopefully soothes a soul!

Comfort doll 2

This is another comfort doll sister! Light of heart and peaceful!

Comfort Doll back

And here is her back. Lots of beading, embroidery and cute flower sequins on her! I'm hoping she will make someone smile!

Comfort doll

This is the second doll or sister for the Comfort doll project that I have completed! This is the from of her....the back will follow! Enjoy!

What Tarot Card Are You?

Another fun little test to take and explore about yourself! VBG!

You are The Lovers

Motive, power, and action, arising from Inspiration and Impulse.

The Lovers represents intuition and inspiration. Very often a choice needs to be made.

Originally, this card was called just LOVE. And that's actually more apt than "Lovers." Love follows in this sequence of growth and maturity. And, coming after the Emperor, who is about control, it is a radical change in perspective. LOVE is a force that makes you choose and decide for reasons you often can't understand; it makes you surrender control to a higher power. And that is what this card is all about. Finding something or someone who is so much a part of yourself, so perfectly attuned to you and you to them, that you cannot, dare not resist. This card indicates that the you have or will come across a person, career, challenge or thing that you will fall in love with. You will know instinctively that you must have this, even if it means diverging from your chosen path. No matter the difficulties, without it you will never be complete.

Pediatric Brain Cancer Wall Hanging

I have been writing about a special project that I am helping to coordinate for the Childrens Hospital. It is a VERY special wall hanging for kids in the pediatric brain cancer ward. Many folks from across the world are particapating in this endeavor and I am hoping that more will find it in their schedules and their hearts to join in! The quiltlets are 6 x 8 inches and embellished in an Under The Sea theme. They are then sandwiched with quilt batting, backed and seamed as a normal quilt, packaged up and sent to me. These quiltlets are going to be joined with free standing "fishie" creations at their tips! If you are interested in particapating, please leave a comment here or contact me via email at pinyoncreek@peoplepc.com.

This project is all the more special to me now, as my friend, who is the inspiration for this endeavor, Pamela McCombs, is currently in the hospital with severe head injuries from an auto accident. Pam raises funds for research thru the "Ride for Kids" charity function every year and this last year reached an all time individual contribution high of over $11,000.00 for research for these special kids!

These are some picture of her with some of the kids she has helped, etc. I wanted to put a "face" to the purpose so that folks know that this is a very real project! While it may not help to find a cure, it will bring a smile and I would LOVE to have so many quiltlets that more than a single wall hanging is made and can be shared with other facilities in the world!! Thank you again to all who have joined in! Your blocks are awesome and I know that the children are going to spend many an hour exploring the undersea world we have created!
